The session concluded with Kate Hutchinson, Founder of The Sustainability Community and the Yorkshire Sustainability Festival 2024. Hutchinson shared valuable tips for organizing sustainable events:
Support Local Suppliers: Choose local providers whenever possible to reduce emissions associated with transportation and support your local economy.
Offset Uncontrollable Emissions: Invest in carbon offsetting to compensate for unavoidable emissions associated with the event.
Make Sustainability Accessible: Keep costs reasonable to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate in the sustainability journey.
